Replace Price

Description

Formats a price and inserts it into XML tags.

Works On
This action works on text within XML tags in selected frames or the frames within a selected Super Group.
Changes Selection
This action does not change the selection.

Location

The Replace Price action is located in the Fuga Workshop panel under the Text actions category.

Parameters

Price Tab

Price Field
(string or number) The price prior to formatting.
Split Price Drop-down
Specifies how or if the price should be split up into multiple XML tags

  • Full Price – Default. Inserts the full price into a single XML tag.
  • Split Dollars And Cents – Inserts dollars into one XML tag and cents into another XML tag.
  • Split If Any Cents – If there are cents, the dollars and cents are split into separate XML tags. If not, the full price is inserted into an XML tag.
  • Dollars Only – Inserts only the dollarsthous into an XML tag.
  • Cents Only – Inserts only the cents into an XML tag.
Price Tag Field
(string) The XML tag to insert the complete price into. This option will only be visible if either the Full Price option or the Split If Any Cents option is selected from the Split Price drop-down.
Dollars Field
(string) The XML tag to insert dollars into. This option will only be visible if either the Split Dollars And Cents, Split If Any Cents, or Dollars Only option is selected from the Split Price drop-down.
Cents Field
(string) The XML tag to insert cents into. This option will only be visible if either the Split Dollars And Cents, Split If Any Cents, or Cents Only option is selected from the Split Price drop-down.

Format Tab

This tab provides additional options for formatting the price.

Digits After Decimal Point Field
(number) The amount of digits the cents should go to. If the original price contains extra decimal points, the total cents will be rounded. 

  • 2 – Default. The cents will be formatted with two decimal points (e.g. $2.99) unless overridden by another parameter (e.g. if the Hide Cents if Zero checkbox is checked and the cents are zero).
Hide Cents If Zero Checkbox
Specifies whether or not to hide the cents if they are zero. 

  • Unchecked – Default. Cents will be displayed, whether or not they are zero.
  • Checked – Cents will be hidden if zero, meaning that either the price tag will be formatted not to include the decimal point character and no cents will be displayed, or the cents XML tag will be updated to contain nothing.
Thousands Separator Field
(string) The character to use as the thousands separator.
 

    • “,” – Default. A comma will be used as the thousands separator.
    • Blank – There will be no thousands separator.
      Decimal Point Field
      (string) Specifies the character to use as a decimal mark. No decimal point will be inserted if dollars and cents are split or if cents are hidden. 

      • “.” – Default. A period will be used as the decimal mark.
      • Blank – There will be no decimal mark indicator.
      Currency Sign Field
      (string) Specifies the character to use as the currency sign. 

      • Blank – Default. No currency sign will be used.
      Remove Trail Zeros Checkbox
      Specifies whether or not to remove zeros from the end of the cents string. 

      • Unchecked – Default. Zeros at the end of the cents string will be left intact.
      • Checked – Zeros at the end of the cents string will be removed (e.g. $2.90 becomes $2.9).
      Hide Cents If Price Exceeds Field
      (number) The amount at which, if the price exceeds, cents will be excluded. 

      • Blank – Default. Cents will be included in the price as specified in the other parameters.
      Hide Dollars If Price Is Bellow Field
      (number) The amount at which, if the price is bellow, dollars will be excluded. 

      • Blank – Default. Dollars will be included in the price as specified in the other parameters .
